Google Pixel 7A launched: Specs, Price and other details.

Google just launched the Pixel 7A, which is a successor to 6A, the mid - range offering from Google. The device was unveiled at Google's annual developer conference in Mountain View, California alongside the Google Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet. The Pixel is priced at ₹40,000 in India and $500 in international market.

 Let's start with the overall specs of the phone - 

• Design & Build  - Aluminum frame, plastic back panel, Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the front.    Design resembles higher end Pixel 7 & 7 Pro devices and the overall the phone is compact and light weight around 193.5 g. It also has been certified to IP67.

• Display - Display size is 6.1 inch with Full HD resolution and an OLED panel with 90Hz refresh rate.

• Chipset - Tensor G2( 2x2.85 GHz Cortex-X1 & 2x2.35 GHz Cortex-A78 & 4x1.80 GHz Cortex-A55) with Mali-G710 MP7.

• RAM/Storage - 8GB LPDDR5X RAM with 128GB UFS 3.1 storage.

• Camera-  Rear - 64 MP, f/1.9, 26mm (wide), 1/1.73", 0.8µm, Dual Pixel PDAF, OIS                                                 13 MP, f/2.2, 120˚ (ultrawide), 1.12µm                                                                                    Front - 13 MP, f/2.2, 20mm (ultrawide), 1.12µm

• Battery - 4385 mAh Li-Po with 7.5W wireless charging and 18W wired charging.

• Software - Stock Android 13, 3 years of Android version update and 5 years of security patch update.

• Other features - Wi-Fi 6e, Bluetooth 5.3, global 5G band support, Fingerprint (under display, optical), Dual Stereo speakers, USB Type-C 3.2, IP67.

The major update from Pixel 6A has been in dispaly, camera and performance. Dispaly has been updated bump up in refresh rate from 60Hz to 90Hz. In camera department there is an all new 64MP primary camera which certainly improves from last generation 6A in all aspect and there is new 13 MP front facing camera too. Performance has been updated by Tensor G2 chip which has better stability and performance from G1 chip and RAM has also been updated to 8GB LPDDR5x. Other than this there is wireless charging support first time in A series Pixel device. The looks of the 7A has been updated which looks much closer to Pixel 7 which isn't a bad thing considering the price of the device .But with this updated specs price has also been increased, which might make a Pixel 6A a much better deal.
